Thank God for videos, This NYC cop arrested and filed charges against this bicycle protester. In his official police report he stated that the bicyclist tried to run into him. That would have been the end of it except it was caught on tape. You can clearly see the officer walks towards the the protester as he passed by and laid him out hard. Check out the video and judge for yourself.
A representative for TIMES UP! tells us that the cyclist in this video was arrested, held for 26 hours, and charged with attempted assault and resisting arrest.

That’s awesome. Those critical mass hippies ride though my city (Vancouver) and completely disobey all traffic signals and are always looking to start shit. Glad someone laid the boots to one of them.

Awesome my ass! That was straight up bullshit! There is no way to justify that. So they ride a bunch of bikes and disobey some traffic signals. It’s pretty obvious that that guy wasn’t “starting shit”. I could see if he was in fact antagonizing the cops. In that case, you get what you deserve. But to just blindside a dude for nothing is absurd.

Impossible to say what happened. The camera was looking down the street, the cop looking up the street. He probably saw the rider do something he wasn’t supposed to.
Seriously, why the fuck would he just knock someone down?
